Two girls enjoy the last rays of light on the Summer Solstice as the air cools, luminous clouds give way to abundant stars, and the sun sets over the flat plain of desert that is West Texas.
Thanks. I figured it out after reading some of your earlier posts. I am an idiot for asking first and then shooting or whatever. That is rugged country out there. I had one of the most traumatic trips of my life when I went there and the Chinati Mountains.
Oh don’t worry at all about asking. I’m sorry to hear you had a traumatic experience in the place – it’s a polarizing landscape, incredibly beautiful, but harsh and not without its dangers.
Whereabouts is this?

Tell me about it. I was on a backpacking trip and a gentleman died right in front of me in the backcountry. First time I had ever had that happen.
It certainly is beautiful. Thirsty, rugged and lonely. I love the desert.
