Gretchen Greer is freelance writer and photographer. Born in Texas, she struck out at the tender age of sixteen to study in France and England. She has degrees in English Literature, Archeology and Medieval History, and a masters in Medieval Literature from Oxford University.
She writes about travel, architecture and wine. She is a regular contributor to the Travel Magazine and App Localeur and The Rivard Report Newspaper, and has worked as staff writer for Lake|Flato Architects and several Napa Valley wineries. She is also a contributing photographer and writer for Decanter wine magazine, and the photographer for Château de la Berchère in Burgundy. For her photography, she has been shortlisted for the Wine Artistry Award in the 2017 Louis Roederer International Wine Writers Awards.
At the moment she lives on the road, primarily between Texas, London and Burgundy, where she and her wine journalist husband William hope to someday own a little vineyard of their own.
